Southeastern Idaho is the Land We Love and Call Home
Much of what we value in this southeastern Idaho is in jeopardy. Our quiet part of the state is being discovered, bought up, and subdivided—leaving only no trespassing signs and manicured lawns in its wake. We have the chance now to help preserve this great corner of Idaho before it disappears into memory.
Although new to our area, land trusts such as the Sagebrush Steppe Regional Land Trust, Inc., (SSRLT) have been around over 100 years. More than 1,200 independent land trusts, found in every state in the U.S., are working with willing and eager landowners to protect such things as wildlife habitat, farmland, and open spaces.
